The following are videos of digitization projects completed as a teacher. This includes a class website for students and parents to access during the COVID pandemic, original PDF format side by side the LMS created assignment, a tracker with teacher and student view, and a PowerPoint presentation a teacher followed next to the NearPod game that apply to the lesson, also the original curriculums from which the questions in the games originated.

High School English I Website

The following website was created when I taught high school English to 9th graders. With it being their first year in high school, I noticed the student needed help with management. Therefore this website was created to keep them informed of class due dates, school events, schedule changes, and so on. It also provided direct links to each of the assignments and powerpoints used during class. The last tab was created when state testing was approaching. It served as an incentive for students to participate in gamified learning that I created for extra practice.

Elem. COVID Website

This website was created (using Google Sites) for a 4th grade reading class during the second year of the COVID pandemic. Not enough time was given to prepare students with the knowledge of how to interact with the website, therefore, it has a basic layout to meet the basic User Interface knowledge of the students and parents. That particular year was faced with many inconsistencies in attendance and academic expectations. Therefore, the website included sections for parents and students, had integrated Google Sheets, Google Slides, and included How To videos for parents and students to learn how to navigate the website. This concept has been applied in the elementary and high school setting.

PDF to LMS

On the left is the original pdf assignment given on the curriculum of the district. On the right is my digital adaptation of the questions on the district's chosen learning management system (Schoology) in order to begin teaching students how to use an online software that mimics the question styles of the state (STAAR) exam. This concept was applied two years in a row in the district that provided access to Schoology.

Tracker

On the left is the original tracker I made using Google Sheets. On the right is the student/parent view of the tracker on Schoology. This tracker was meant to help students and parents track any assignments that were completed, missing, could be resubmitted for a better grade, or if the student was absent. It was separated by weeks of the grading period in order to prevent having too many and overwhelming tasks on one page. This concept has been applied during 4 years since the pandemic year in the 3rd grade, 4th grade, and high school setting.
